Francesco Maglia and Saverio Santillo, creative director of Santillo 1970, started their collaboration by taking part in events such as the one organized by B.S.M.I “The new generations of Italian craftsmanship” held at Bocconi University in December 2019.
Common visions and stories are the backdrop to combine the identities of the two brands in a new male wardrobe intended for the contemporary Gentleman but also for the new generations.
In a world mostly inclined to mass production this capsule collection is born with the mission of raising awareness of craftsmanship and bespoke tailoring, especially in the youngest.
Santillo 1970 is a great example of family business, it is born from the passion for tailoring and handmade. For this reason, Francesco Maglia Milano took part in this collaboration born within the “Radici project”.
The Santillo shirt was born in 1970 from the passion and experience of Mrs. Angela Lemma. It is not a simple garment but a creation that is the result of “know-how”, experience, knowledge, ideas, dreams, Italianness as an example of the union between sensory, emotional and rational characteristics.

Santillo 1970 product is “beautiful and well made” as required by Italian tradition. Over time, the offer has expanded and so they have gone from the production of shirts only to men’s suits and clutches of all the collections.

Everything is mainly aimed to enhancing a real ethical evolution, to lay the foundations for the relaunch of Italian high craftsmanship: a universe rich in knowledge, skills and great creative abilities, which represents the soul of Italy and is its most important heritage, from which to start again to create a tailor-made future, which returns to respect our rhythms and those of the Planet.
